He is survived by: his children, Nicia Seibold (Paul), Tom Pencil (Karin) and Lisa Miller (Chris); his wife Rozanne Pencil; his stepchildren, Heather Meyers (Scott) and Hans Miller (Sally); and his siblings, Jane Bowers, Nancy Freshour, Patty Dunn and Terry Pencil. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene's memory can be made to the Northwestern Local Schools Future Teacher's Scholarship Fund or a local Clark County 4-H Club, reflecting his lifelong commitment to education and community youth.
