He is survived by : his children, Steve Rodgers (Amy), Mike Rodgers (Jane) and Julie Wannemacher (Dan); his grandchildren, Monica Griffiths (Justin), Kyle Rodgers (Colleen), Isabella, Julian, Sebastian, Oliver Rodgers, Kaitlyn Schnipke (Matt), Kelli Rea (Cooper) and Luke Wannemacher; his great grandchildren, Macklen Griffiths, Sydney Rodgers, Norah, Leo and Jude Schnipke; his siblings, Richard Rodgers (Joan) and Patricia Coverdell (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Coyle (Terry) and Mary Lynn Spitznagel (Dave).

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Henry's Church (6696 N Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church (6696 N Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449). A burial was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery (1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409).
