He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Boyd and Gladys Boyd (Morgan); and his brothers, Don and Dwayne Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Joan Boyd (Melick); his children, Jeff Boyd (Brenda) and Jennifer Isham (Chuck); his grandchildren, Chad Schneider, Dan Isham (Haley), Megan Zoltanski (Tyler), Lindsey Watkins (Calvin), Nick Boyd (Morgan), Morgan Crain (Connor), Josh Boyd (Kalie) and Adam Boyd; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Finley, Lucas and Crain; and his brother Dr. Darrell Boyd. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home - Centerville (81 N Main St, Centerville, OH 45459). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens (1639 E Lytle 5 Points Rd, Dayton, OH 45458).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Shriners Children's Ohio, Dayton Children's Hospital, or the Antioch Shrine Temple in memory of Douglas.
