He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Earl and Mary Catherine Caprella Hardesty, Sr.; and his parents-in-law, Ed and Mildred "Mid" Graessle. He is survived by: his wife Debra Kay Coffman; his daughters, Dr. Dara Ann Williams (Jason Coggins) of Knoxville, TN. and Dena Lynn Mabry (Dave) of Murfreesboro, TN.; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Decker and Harper Decker; and his brothers, Richard E. Hardesty, Jr. (Diann) of Toledo and John G. Hardesty (Erin) of Elida.
