He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandchildren, Dennis Fetzer (Linda), Cory Fetzer (Janet), Mindy Fetzer, Jessica Danielle Clark and Haiden Wood; his siblings, Redmond Wood (Millie) and Shirley Blockberger; his siblings-in-law, Homer Coffman, Mary Jane Putman and Marjorie Coffman; his close friends, Sandie Wood and Delores Staples; his parents, Harry Lewis Wood and Ilo Bretta Wood (Gillespie); his wife Martha Wood (Coffman); and his siblings, Bernard, Martha Neiford and Patricia Daley. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
