Joy Dawson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Dawson (Spencerville, Ohio), who passed away on February 10, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Sr. McConnell and Helen McConnell (Bricker); her husband Donald C Dawson Jr.; her daughters, Marlene B Dawson and Teresa A Gauvin; her brother John G. "Jack" McConnell Jr.; her brother-in-law Lew Weber; and her nephews, Mark McConnell and John Weber.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey L Dawson of Parma and Gregory L Dawson of Spencerville; her grandchildren, Carlisle R Gauvin of Keene, Danielle Mauro (CJ) of Shirley, Massachusetts and Mathew C Dawson (Mariah Dysinger) of New Bremen; her great grandchild Declan Mauro; her siblings, Margaret A "Peg" Weber of Canal Fulton, Polly McConnell of Elida and Bruce E McConnell (Jo) of Spencerville; her sister-in-law Kay McConnell of Morrow; and her nieces and nephews, Scott McConnell (Brenda), Diane McConnell, Nathan McConnell (Jenny), Rachel Koester (Jon), Tyler McConnell (Morgan) and Claire Taflinger (Billy). She is also survived by 14 great nieces and nephews and 7 great great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joy's name to the Spencerville EMS.
