He was predeceased by: his father Robert A. Hakey; and his siblings, Phillip Hakey, Barry Harden and Dale Hakey. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Mann; his children, John Smith (Debbi) of Brimfield, IN and Cristy Carlson of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Destinee Smith (Nathan Leamon), Jackson Smith and Skyler Moore; his stepdaughter Nicole Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Shayna Russel, Brooke Russel, Brodie Russel, Sawyer Stocklin, Emery Goff and Dawson Gillum; and his siblings, Bonnie Crabtree of Johnson City, TN, Tina (David), Roger Hakey (Barb) of Kendallville, IN, Jerry Harden (Nueva) and Mark Hakey (Sara).
