He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett and Mary Katherine Gibson Smith; and his brother John Smith. He is survived by: his close friend Susan Tidwell; his children, Kathy Armentrout (Marv) of Lima, Lola Ketcham (Tim) of Meadville, PA., Carolyn Krouskop (Roger) of Spencerville, Bryan Harruff (Deanne) of Celina, Delores "Maggie" Gile (Jerry Smith) of Celina, Tiny Williams (Jim) of Spencerville, Rose Stansberry (Gary) of Rockford, Ruby Smith (Scott Smith) of Monroeville, IN. and Kristina Waldron (Rick) of Van Wert; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Smith of Lima. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
