He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Schwartz and Melba Rohrbach Schwartz; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Jean Sheaks. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann McDermitt; his sons, Jerry Schwartz of Spencerville, Brent Schwartz (Laura) of Wapakoneta and Jeff Schwartz (Cindy) of Flemingsburg, KY.; his grandchildren, Bobbie Jo O'Dell (Chris) of Spencerville, Mike Schwartz (Karla) of Chesterton, IN., Joel Schwartz (Andrea) of Spencerville, Cory Schwartz (Becca) of San Diego, CA., Cassie Poppe (Lucas) of Knoxville, TN., Chris Schwartz (Samantha Bianchi) of Round Rock, TX., Zack Schwartz (Margaret) of Paris, KY., Taylor Schwartz (Kelsey) of Mayslick, KY. and Cooper Schwartz of Flemingsburg, KY.; his great grandchildren, Brandon O'Dell (Brooke Mullins), Alexzandria O'Dell, Cara, Connor, Payton, Ethan, Bryce, Nora, Matt and Ben Schwartz; his parents-in-law, Mary Howell (Robert) of Wapakoneta, Chuck McDermitt (Karen) of Stockbridge, GA., Judy Howell (Richard) of Yorktown, IN. and Jake McDermitt (Deb) of St. Marys; and his brother-in-law Floyd Sheaks of St. Marys. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
