He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto C. Degen and Genevieve Paglow Degen; his brothers, Don Degen and Clarence "Sonny" Degen; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Degen and Lynn Degen.
He is survived by: his close friend Shari K. Moorman; his children, Fred N. Degen, Jr. (Angela) of Spencerville, Lisa M. Jettinghoff (Matt) of Delphos, Lauri Brown (Jay) of Delphos and Jeff Stevens of Lima; his grandchildren, Haley Levine (Austin) of Traverse City, MI., Killyan Lee (Kasey) of Spencerville, Josh Binnion of Coldwater, Logan Binnion (Madison Flack) of Spencerville, Casey Jettinghoff of Cincinnati, Madison of Delphos and Caitlin Jettinghoff of Delphos; his great grandchildren, Kasen, Klaire Lee, Miriam Binnion and Juniper Levine; and his siblings, Jim Degen of Botkins and Janice Dershem (Rex) of Lima.
