He was predeceased by: his father Albert Joseph; and his siblings, Gene, Margaret, Paul, Martha and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Helen McDonough; his daughters, Tina Burd (Randy) of Celina, Cheri Parks (Darrell) of Hendersonville, TN, Patti Fleck (Doug) of Spencerville and Barb Cira (Dave) of Lima; his sisters, Karen Shafer (Ken) of Spencerville and Betty Bland of Alabama; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Lenhart of Spencerville, Jim McDonough of Rockford, William McDonough of Delphos, Charles McDonough of Delphos, Sarah Bauldauf (Don) of Delphos, Elaine Schimmoeller (Mike) of Delphos, Susan Powell (Jim) of Lima and Maureen Wright (Dave) of Canton. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
