She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell B. Herbst and Wanda Woneta McCaslin Herbst; her daughter Sarah Carnes; and her brothers, Terry L. McCaslin and Douglas Herbst.
She is survived by: her husband Clay Carnes; her daughters, Nichole S. Carnes of Ashville, NC and Lisa K. Carnes of Lima; her brothers, Gary Herbst (late Jan) of Lima, Michael Herbst (late Ann) of Cridersville, Jim Herbst (Nancy) and Robert Herbst (Trisha) of Lima; and her sisters-in-law, Sharon McCaslin of Lima and Lisa Herbst of Leesville, SC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
