She was predeceased by: her father Robert D. Oakman; and her brother Lanny Oakman. She is survived by: her husband Robert; her children, Heather F. Grothous (Greg) of St. Joseph, MI and Aaron R. Short of New Market, MD; her grandchildren, Kaden I. Grothous, Madelyn E. Grothous and Grayson R. Grothous; her brother Barry Oakman (Irene) of Spencerville; and her sister-in-law Judy Beebe of Cary, NC..
