He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Spies and Minnie Spies; and his siblings, Bob, Peg, Curly, Geraldine, Dan, Rosie, Dot and Jack.
He is survived by: his children, James Spies (Lisa), Tammy Spies (Mike) and Kasie Vonderau (Kevin); his grandchildren, Joey, Leah, Max, Wendy, Greg, Alex, Teddi and Kyle; his great grandchild Aubrie; and his siblings, Bud Spies and Pat Rodgers. He is also survived by friends, especially his children and grandchildren.
