He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Francis Szczurek and Beulah Mae Szczurek (Baughman); his son David M. Szczurek; and his sisters, Mary Kathryn Pawcio and Judith Ann Szczurek-Bourne.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn A. Szczurek (Tvaroch) of Southington; his children, Christine Cho (Raymond) of Powell, OH and Michael J. Szczurek of Lawrenceville, GA; his siblings, Patricia Szczurek-Manos (Buddy) of Newton Falls, Elizabeth Raub (Randy) of Waseca, MN, Richard Szczurek of Southington and David Szczurek (Lenett) of Southington; and his grandsons, Joshua and Timothy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations please be made to either the Great Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America (gtcbsa.org) or the Southington American Legion Post #751, PO Box 307, Southington, OH 44470 in his memory.
