We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2020, at the age of 91, Carl E Sharps of Southington, Ohio, born in Newburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sankey and Nora May Larew Sharps; his wife Betty Lou Moon Sharps; his son Dennis Scott Sharps; and his siblings, Dennis, James, John, Blaine, Archie, Dale, Cecil, Raymond, Enid, Bertha, Genevieve, Opal and Edith.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane McCoy (Gary) of Mebane; his granddaughters, Janie Lemaster (Michael) of Hurdle Mills, Amanda Martin (Joshua) of Southington, Heather Brosius (Joel) of Garrettsville, Bethany Sharps of Warren and Brittany Sharps of Morgantown; his great grandchildren, Jack Lemaster, Drew Lemaster, Tavon Martin, Kyler Martin and Madelyn Brosius; and his sister Naomi "Dolly" Smeltzer of Warren, OH.
In light of the recent worldwide occurrences dealing with the COVID-19, immediate family only will be gathering for a private burial service.
In lieu of flowers, Carl's wishes are donations be made to Scotch Hill Bethel Community Association P.O. Box 151, Newburg, WV 26410.
