With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert V. Slone of South Webster, Ohio, born in Matewan, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Slone and Kernie Slone; his brothers, Johnny, Everett, Eugene and Tommy; his brothers-in-law, Edward Lewis and Robert Smith; and his parents-in-law, Alberta and Carl Akers.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Slone (McNelly); his children, Robert of Portsmouth, Anthony of South Webster, Michelle (Brian) of Wheelersburg and Melissa of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Brian Kimmey (Kayla) of Hartwell, GA, Jonathan of Wheelersburg, Dakota (CJ) of Minford and Myles of Portsmouth; his great grandchildren, Elena, Thomas and Paisley; and his siblings, James (Rosemary) of South Webster, David (Sandy) of Clarktown, Gail Smith of Wheelersburg and Loraine Lewis of Lucasville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
