He was predeceased by: his parents, Raney P. Adams and Della Adams (Risner); his former wife Verla Adams; and his sons, Gerald Adams and Timothy Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Adams (Robinson); his daughters, Freda McNelly (Doug) of Wheelersburg and Della Parsons (Roger) of Marion; his stepchildren, Michael Short (Brenda) of Logan, WV, Kimberly Ann Short of Dunlow, WV, Linda Blankenship of Huntington, WV and Brenda Burton of Lexington, KY; and his sister May Schriber of Lagrange, IN. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
