He was predeceased by: his parents, Art McNelly and Lizzie Charles McNelly; and his brothers, Jim of South Webster and Ralph McNelly of South Webster. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Lisa Anderson (Ray Vestal) and Lori McNelly; his grandson Tyler Anderson; and his brothers, Doug McNelly (Freda) and Dave McNelly (Penny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
