He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Hammonds and Edith Hammonds (Rudd); and his brothers, Joe Hammonds, Jack Hammonds, Jim Hammonds and Phil Hammonds.
He is survived by: his wife Candace Hammonds (Lockhart); his son Jacob Pertuset of San Francisco, CA; and his sister Lavonda Grooms (David) of Oklahoma.
