He is survived by: his mother Janet Sue Holbrook (Adkins); his wife Tamala Murphy (Craycraft); his daughters, Kayla Murphy of Portsmouth, Tessa Unger (Matthew) of Portsmouth and Glenda Murphy of Portsmouth; and his siblings, James Murphy (Vickie) of South Shore, KY, Donald Murphy (Heather) of South Shore, KY, Velma Holbrook (Brian) of New Boston and Karen Thomas (Jeff) of Vanceburg, KY. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
