She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Curtis and Vurla Mae Ervin (Smith); her husband Leonard Scaggs; and her brothers, Harold Wayne Ervin and Guy Clifton Ervin.
She is survived by: her children, Leonard Randall Scaggs (Gloria), Penny Sue Henthorn (Ronald), Daniel Lee Scaggs (Mary), Cynthia Lou Ervin (Carl), Guy Ervin Scaggs (Laura), Rebecca Ruth Johns (Keith) and Angela Kay Harris (Steve); and her granddaughter Brandy Morgan Bowe. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
