He was predeceased by: his mother Juanita Adkins (Little); his wife Lois Adkins; his son James "Jim" Adkins; and his siblings, Ronald Adkins, Charles Adkins, Betty Maynard and Gloria Shaw.
He is survived by: his son Tim Adkins (Michelle) of Ocala, FL; his brothers, Mick Adkins of Ashland, KY and Leslie Adkins (Kathy) of New Boston; his grandchildren, Kristin Perry (Jeremy), Tyler Adkins, Sarah Adkins and Kaitlyn Adkins; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Howard, Elijah Perry and Remington Perry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
