It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Haines of South Salem, Ohio, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Haines to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Knapp, Sr. and Vallie Knapp (Kerr); her grandchildren, Lilly Haines and Max VanGundy; her daughter-in-law Patsy Stewart Haines; her siblings, Homer Jr., William "Bill", Donald, Hubert, Max, Monroe, Melvin, Brady Knapp and Virginia Knapp; and her sister-in-law Juanita Haines Kelley.
She is survived by: her husband James E. Haines; her children, Chad Haines (Barb), Brandon Haines (Stephanie), Wesley Haines (Kimberly) and Melody VanGundy (Rod); her grandchildren, Josh, Ray, Ashley, Megan, Beth, Wes, Dustin, Baylee, Braylynn, Tyler, Trenton, Isabella, Olivia, Luke, Mia and Willow; her siblings, Ada Hastings (Robert), Mary James (Sammy) and David A. Knapp; her siblings-in-law, Diana Haines, Jeanie Groves (Dale) and Gene Kelley; and her pets, Luna and Simon. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home (380 Jefferson St, Greenfield, OH 45123). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
