He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Basye and Doris Lafferty Basye; his wife Cora C. Skaggs; his son Mark Wayne Basye; and his siblings, Rosie, Marge, Maribelle, Ike, John, Webb and Eddie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela F. Basye of South Salem and Christian D. Basye (Margaret Andrews) of Circleville; his grandsons, Ronald Houseman II, Brandon Houseman and John Davis II; his great grandchildren, Ronald, Christopher, Raven, Bella Cora Rose, Madelynn Houseman, Easton Davis, Kaleb Rinehart and Isaac Garrison; and his siblings, Judy Herron (Denver) and Curtis Basye (Joi). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
