He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert D. Bare and Donna Bare (DeWitt); and his sister Dorlea Watson. He is survived by: his wife Julie Bare; his children, Carolyn Cronje (Frans), George "Bill" Bare Jr. (Jeremy) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Tietjen (Kurt); his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Libby" Bare, Sydney Bare, Marieke Tietjen, Conor Tietjen, Freddie Tietjen, Willem Cronje and George "Billy" Cronje; and his sister Carolyn Deckard (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
