It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Faye Porter Mattox Thompson of South Point, Ohio, who passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Porter and Mary Louise Brown Porter; and her siblings, Edna Bryant, Mary Porter, Charlie and Glen Roy Porter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dottie Buchanan (Clyde) of Columbia, SC, Jeanie Martin of Florence, SC and Josie Heilman of Blythewood, SC; her grandchildren, Erin Waters (Stephen) of Columbia, SC, Tyler Broach of Charleston, SC, Adam Martin of Lexington, SC, Josh Heilman (Courtney) of South Carolina and Chris Heilman (Hannah) of South Carolina; her great grandchildren, Layla Louise, William Waters, Samuel Broach, Imber Martin and Aiden Heilman; her nephew Donald Porter (Donna); her niece Barbara Bryant Sledd; her sister-in-law Marilyn Porter; her nieces, Kellie Blackburn (Chris), Deb Shrout (Raymond), Kim Howard and Leslie Wotchko (Kevin); her nephew Glen Porter; and her close friends, Belinda Brumfield, Brenda Baylous, Leanna Johnson and Jim Lutz. She is also survived by numerous friends and extended family.
