He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Copley and Mary Thompson Copley; his daughter Kay Marlys Kent Copley; his wife Loretta Copley; and his siblings, Dollie Gillen, Betty Jordan and Bobbie Wray Copley.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Copley Martin, Dara Copley Crain and Curt Copley; his brother Birch Copley of Proctorville; and his grandchildren, Nicole Martin Stevens, Katey Martin, Bobby Martin, Max Martin, Christina Crain Balos, Taryn Crain Dodge, Luke Crain, Paul Crain, Abraham Crain, Hope Crain, Samantha Copley, Hannah Copley Foster and Zach Copley. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
