It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Ann Lester of South Point, Ohio, born in Ironton, Ohio, who passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Woodford "Woody" Bayes, Sr. and Mary Agnes Lavender Bayes; her boyfriend William Lee Fitzpatrick; and her siblings, Carlos "Buddy" Bayes, Jr. and Janet Bayes Wooten.
She is survived by: her sister Bonnie Bayes Kelley (Andy); her children, William "Chris" Lester (Cindy), Stephanie Chandler (Adam) and Annie Collins (Joe); her grandchildren, Whitney Strong, Bryan (Mackenzie), Jason (Kelsi), Audrey, Lydia Lester, Alex, Gabe Chandler, Hunter and Jacob Collins; and her great grandchildren, Lily Joyce, Ellis, Lennon, Grayson Lester and Ryan Ernst.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Lawrence Catholic Church (611 Center St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
