He was predeceased by: his parents, Marty Jr. Dameron and Margie Dameron (Crawford); his former wife Marylou Dameron; his children, John Dameron, Jr. and Rosa Wilson; and his brothers, Rick and Bobby Blair.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Lewis of Ironton, Johnda Reeves of South Point, Ohio, Marjorie Bays of South Point, Ohio and Eloise "Sage" Elswick of South Point, Ohio; his fiancée Doris J. Dameron (Dunn); his siblings, Jean Salyers (Richard), Steve Blair, Dottie Bennett, Dennis Dameron, James Dameron (Betty), Cynthia Stapleton, David Blair and George Blair; and his close friend Dave Patrick. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
