He was predeceased by: his brother Jerome Stinson. He is survived by: his son Paul (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Luke and Evangeline; his sister Mary Burke; and his wife Sara.

With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Stinson retired once more in 2020.
