She was predeceased by: her son Larry Allen Parsons; and her father Gene Green. She is survived by: her son Jason Parsons; her stepdaughters, Kristi Workman (Ricky) and Kelli Haynes (Phil); her mother Linda Green; her siblings, Teresa Hudnall (Jeff), Michelle Capps (Darrell) and Tim Green; and her nieces, Desiree Hudnall, Samantha Hudnall, Cynthia Valdes, Maggie Hudnall, Connor Hudnall, Abby and Smoky.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Matilda's name to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.
