It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Shaffer of South Charleston, Ohio, born in Madison, Ohio, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby A. Shaffer (Massie) and Huston L. Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Carole (Bethel); his daughters, Gwen Scott (Stanley), Jennifer Heckaman (Troy), Rebekah Shaffer (Clint Frysinger) and Melinda Taylor (Chad); his grandchildren, Cameron, John, Leah, Alaina, Michelle, Adam, Megan and Oscar; and his sisters, Patricia Young (Larry) and Jeanie Goodbar (Jack). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
