With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Carpenter of South Bloomingville, Ohio, born in Vinton, Ohio, who passed away on May 22, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carpenter and Ermel Carpenter (Amerine); and his brother Gerald Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Carpenter (Thompson); his daughters, Julia Sharp (David) and Karen McClaskey (Terry); his grandchildren, Kellie Delong (Bob), Clayton Sharp (Denise Van Gundy), Nicholas Covell (Mariah), Mandy Tallerico (Tony), Sarah Shaw (Joshua) and Kimberly Holbrook (Eric); and his sister Viola Beatty. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
