He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen M. Eldridge (McCoy); his son William Eldridge; his sister Dorothy L. Cooper; and his parents, William H. Eldridge and Edith Eldridge.
He is survived by: his family Linda; his children, Bev Baker (Tim) of Kipton and Diana "Dee" Sharp (Jim) of Kipton; his grandchildren, Bobbie (Joe), T. J. (Heather), Lyndsey (Hiram), Kelcey (Christian) and Will (Ericka); and his close friend Linda Gaston. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio, 44035.
