He was predeceased by: his sons, Thomas and Gary; his siblings, Gary Adkins, Jackie Adkins and Claudetta Spires; and his parents, Claude Adkins and Helen Adkins.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sue Adkins; his children, Patricia Taddeo (Jim) of Amherst and Keith Adkins (Julie) of Amherst; his daughter-in-law Sherry Adkins of Mt. Washington, KY; and his sisters, Drema Kilgore (Eddie) of Auburn, WV and Vickie Peck (John) of Cleveland.
