With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Adkins of South Amherst, Ohio, born in Accoville, West Virginia, who passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Adkins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Richard Adkins; her son Gary Adkins; and her parents, Edgar Johnston and Lora Johnston. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Taddeo (Jim) of Amherst and Keith Adkins (Julie) of Amherst; her sisters, Ida Spears (Don) of South Amherst, Mary Adkins of West Virginia, Brenda Bragg of West Virginia, Linda Spencer of West Virginia and Betty Jo Bailey of West Virginia; her daughter-in-law Sherry Adkins of Mt. Washington; and her sister-in-law Betty Lou Johnston of West Virginia. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mercy New Life Hospice Residence Center, 3500 Kolbe Rd., Lorain OH 44053.
