He was predeceased by: his wife Nina; his brothers, George Palagyi and Steve Vitai; his son Steven Domenic; his great grandchild Fritz McKinney Guth; and his parents, Steve and Rose.
He is survived by: his children, John Palagyi Jr. (Karen Carr) of Hebron, KY and Domenica McKinney (Steve) of South Amherst, OH; his siblings, Rosemary Rigo of Lorain, Anna Kish of Lorain and Joseph of Sheffield Lake; his grandchildren, Erika (Tony), Guth, Steven McKinney (Lindsey), Aaron McKinney (Theresa), Kelly Carr and Will Carr; and his great grandchildren, Milan, Nina, Anna, Rose, Lorelei, Evan and Jude. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
