He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Potter and Martha Potter (Howard); his daughter Pamela Potter Halsey; his grandson Bryan Smith; and his siblings, Granville, Cecil, Pat of Oral, J. B., Freeman, Meck, Nanalou and Polly.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Smith (Daniel), Deborah Combs (Quentin) and Louis Potter (Sandy); his grandchildren, Amanda Bailey (Larry), Evan Combs, Sara Wilson (David), Rebecca Hunt, Reece Potter, Bethany Potter and Addy Potter; his siblings, Alice Mooney and Dexter Potter; and his close friend Carol Mays.
