He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Sweeney and Dortha Ann Sweeney; and his brothers, Leslie, Raymond and Carl Sweeney.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Sue Sweeney of Somerville, OH.; his children, Bill Sweeney (Michelle Sweeney) of Wilmington, NC, Stacy Sweeney of Milford, OH and Jesse Sweeney of Williamsburg, OH.; his sister Kathleen Perry of Frenchburg, KY.; his grandchildren, Ronnie Hensley (Krystle Hensley), Danny Sweeney, Aleesha Nichols (Marc Nichols), Vanessa Sweeney and Zach Sweeney; and his great grandchildren, Reagan Hensley, Franklin Hensley, Shire Warnock, Bane Nichols and Corrina Sweeney.
