He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon E. Groves and Mabel Groves (Payne); and his sister Shirley Pennington. He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Groves (Yarger); his sons, William Groves (Becky) of Crooksville, Thomas Groves (Paula) of Newark, Richard Groves (Patricia) of New Lexington and Steven Groves (Marianne) of New Lexington; and his siblings, Wayne Groves and Myrna Groves. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home (203 S Columbus St, Somerset, OH 43783). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
