He was predeceased by: his father Harold Smith; and his brother Donald J. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Smith (Hoover); his children, Nanette Thompson (Levi) of New Lexington and Michael Smith II of Somerset; his granddaughters, Kerry, Kaleena and Corrine Thompson; and his sisters, Debra Giehls (Robert) and Barbara Culp (Terry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great- niece.
