He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Smith and Marguerite Smith (Wardlow); and his siblings, Donald and Sandra Sole. He is survived by: his wife Lydella Ann Smith (Huston); his children, Sonya Skinner (Robert) and Bartholomew Smith (Kristin); his grandchildren, Rachel, John, Luke, Ezra Skinner, Amelia, William and Benjamin Smith; his siblings, Patricia Bradley, Richard "Dick" Smith (Mika), Susan Canan (Greg), Jack Smith (Mary), Gerald Smith, Daniel Smith, David Smith (Andrea) and Mary Katherine Wayne (Alan); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Huston and Bill Sole. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
