He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Courtney and Mildred Courtney (Durban); his son Perry Courtney; and his siblings, Dale Wayne Courtney, John Richard Courtney, Jr. and Rita Jane McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Courtney (Cogswell); his children, Jason, Tracy Courtney, Michael Perry and Marcy Hoffman; his siblings, Rodger Courtney, Charles Pfingston, Joann Cowan, Diane Craddock, Patricia Hite and Penelope Merritt; and his grandsons, Craig Perry, Tyler Hoffman, Trevor Hoffman and Trenton Hoffman.
