Douglas Purkey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Purkey of Somerset, Ohio, who passed away on August 8, 2021, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Purkey (Snyder). He is survived by: his father David Purkey; his wife Kimberly Purkey (Forgrave); his children, Grace, Donny, Elizabeth and William (Makenzie); his grandchild Baby Purkey; and his sisters, Debbie Donathan (Ken) and Anna Purkey.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you please consider donating to Lifeline of Ohio in honor of Doug. The family also asks that you please consider donating to the Perry County Longbeards Chapter of the NWTF, because although he didn't hunt, Doug was an avid member of the National Wild Turkey Foundation.
