He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leroy and Ruth E. Smith McGaughey; his wife Ruth McGaughey; and his brother Albert McGaughey. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Forsythe (David) of Thornville and Peggy Sue McGaughey of Somerset; his grandchildren, Hollie Forsythe Abbott and Curt Forsythe (Chelsea); his great grandchildren, Ethan Abbott, Owen Abbott and Barrett Forsythe; and also Linda. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
