He was predeceased by: his father R. C. Watkins; his wife Birdie Watkins; his mother Aquilla Salter; his grandson Anthony Myhand; his sister Mary Jo Moultrie; his brother-in-law Deacon Angelo Moultrie; and his niece Anita Watkins.
He is survived by: his children, Melanice "Cherie" (Arthur), David W., Paul E., Eric R., Latresa "Tresa" D. and Yvette "Gyna" R.; his grandchildren, DaRell (Ivy), Kevin, Tino (Abby), Brandon, TreChaun (Layla) of Arthur, Darian, Tameka, Rashida, Dawn, Tiara (Germaine), Kamarri, Kimberly and Arneisha; his nephew Christopher Watkins (Carolyn); his close friend Marsha Knowles of St. Louis, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Streetsboro Church of Christ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
