He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sophie T.; his children, Thomas (Angelo Thomas), James, Judy Stephan (Mike) and Karen Eshelman (Barry); his grandchildren, Kelly Novak, Katie Beaumont (Ryan) and Lenny Diederich (Janice); his great grandchildren, Tyler Diederich, Jack Diederich, Sophie Diederich, Olivia Diederich, Hudson Beaumont and Ellison Beaumont; and his brother Edward.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Church of the Resurrection in memory of Gil.
