She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Smukler and Betty Smukler; her husband David; and her sisters, Shirley Levy and Sandra Epstein.

She is survived by: her children, Neil Kornswiet (Jessica) and Susan Smith (Tom); her grandchildren, Lisa Blazar Noonan (Tim), Matthew Kornswiet (Alyssa), Holly Blazar (Johnathan), Bryan Kornswiet (Alex), Jennifer Kornswiet and Megan Roosz; and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, Jackson, Dylan and Tyler Kornswiet.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Jewish War Veterans of the United States or the American Heart Association.
