It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dudley Read of Solon, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Elizabeth Read and Dudley Alexander Read; his wife Shirley; and his brother Jeff. He is survived by: his sister Christine of Akron; his children, Maureen (Terry) of Aurora, Michael (Laurel) of Chagrin Falls, Marla (John) of Charlottesville, VA, Mark (Anita) of Mount Sterling, IL and Matthew (Leigh Ann) of Memphis, TN; his close friend Lynn Armbruster; his grandchildren, John (Becky), Amy (TJ), Ryan, Lucas, Ali, Abigail (Caleb), Gabby and Nicholas; and his great grandchildren, Lucy, Lily, Eva and Joe.
